In these pages you will see me post about architects working in the Austin, Texas area quite a bit. The vernacular they employ seems to fit closely to what works here on the East End..or better, the North Fork, where open vistas are not marred by mega-mansions and same same shingle style gambrels. Clayton&Little, besides being admirable for having a woman principal, are known for some great projects including the Hotel St Cecilia , an Historic Landmark and a boutique hotel set in a Victorian mansion on a quiet estate on South Congress in Austin where time seems to not matter one bit.
